Hi!

I am searching for information about the history of the Internet and the

time before. If you know any good URLs, books or papers, please be so
kind and send me an email. Thank you so much!

In particular, I am writing a thesis about the economic impact of
current technologies to e-commerce. For this reason, I have to show
which technology and which service lead to which application and usage
in the past and had which impact. (E. g., modems and first ISPs enabled
millions of people, not just a few number of researchers, to
communication by email.) So I need information about history of
technologies, standards, etc. Key questions are: Who invented what
system or service when? What is the economic impact? When did it hit 10
% or x% diffusion?

Thank you for your help.
