   Okay, one more try: There used to be a unique number for every job in
the system - the Hasp number. This became the JES2 job number. Is this
still available? You might have to use some sort of cross-memory services
in order to get this sort of thing. I would look into issuing a JES command
and getting the results sent back to my task, e.g., OS/MVT had "d n" for a
display-job-names listing, Hasp had $dn to do the same thing, so I assume
JES2 might also still have such a command -and- that it might be executable
from a batch environment. (There was a way to execute operator commands by
modifying the WTO macro-generated code. This guy sounds like a Unix sysadmin
so I assume he can get into supervisor state.) Looks to me like you want a
listing of MVS jobs that looks like the result of a Unix ps command. Hope
