(VM) > -- Funny you should ask, I've been experimenting with it just the last couple of weeks. The program name is ASMDASM (I'd guess it's available if HLASM is installed). The doc for it is in BKMGR. JCL is simple, just note that the SYSLIB input dataset cannot be concatenated (if the module you name isn't in the first one, it's not found). From memory (forgive me if I've forgotten something): // EXEC PGM=ASMDASM,PARM=COPYRIGHTOK //SYSLIB DD DSN=... //SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=... //SYSPUNCH DD ... load_module_name CSECT_name (optional control cards) There are several types of control cards, e.g., to specify program or DSECT base registers, to direct the disassembler to treat a specified block of code as DATA or INSTRuctions, etc. It's all in the doc. The listing, of course, goes to SYSPRINT. The disassembled source code is written to SYSPUNCH. IBM suggests that you make SYSPUNCH DUMMY for the first run, until you get a chance to look at the output and see if you want to add any control cards. I left is assigned to SYSOUT=* and deleted what I didn't want. Email/post if you have any further questions, I'll try to remember to get the real JCL & to post it here.
