Hi, I've this problem
I have some data from object's DB
f.e. OBJECT = Human
name : string
height : integer
Birthday : Date
.........
and I want to display this object in dbGrid as name | height
| birthday
------------------------------------------
petr 124 12.2.1222
..............
I now that dbGrid needs some DATASource and its recordset.
Is there any chance to use standart component of DATASource and its
recordset or should I create my own?
( I mean standard component for ADO,DAO )
There's a new question. how to create my own DataSource.
f.e how to create recordset ???
I try to create new recordset, but I can't access him, I can't fill or get
any of his values.

Sorry, could you just clarify something - Where is the 'Human' data stored? - If its stored in an Access table, then getting to it is easy, you could use data bound controls (if its a single user app this is the quickest way of doing it), and just specify the database name, and 'Human' as the table name. What sort of database is the data stored in? - If its stored elsewhere, then you could investigate using TrueDBGrid which allows for an XArray object, an extended array object which can be bound directly to the grid. Or using the existing DBGrid, you can populate the grid with a normal array also. John.
