Encrypted String containing ASCII data

I am having an issue saving encrypted data in an Oracle database field via
ODBC. The VB encrypts the data by change the character string to it's
ASCII value. The Oracle stored procedure handles the string fine and the VB
can build it find, but when I try to tie it all together vai ODBC I get
"ODBC failed".

I am putting the encrypted field into a string and attempted to pass it as a
parm to the Oracle a procedure.

Any suggestions

Charles,

Could there be an additional single quote added in the ASCII value? Just a
guess...
