I as a Visual Basic programmer I agree. To ignore any one one completely
is like sticking one's head in the sand. I am learning DELPHI and I will
continue to use Visual Basic as well. There are things that VB does real
well and the same is true for DELPHI. I also see the merits of keeping
up my knowledge of XBase languages also. I wish VO would be a friendlier
environment than it is. There are some really neat features in the old
Clipper product which both VB and DELPHI could really use. FoxPro and
Visual Dbase may be better as far as XBase is concerned. I admit I have
stayed away from C and C++, I don't like the cryptic command structure
preffering a more English like language. I've got my hands full with the
languages I am now using. The mix of tools I do have can make up for
insufficiency in that area.
