Problem : ImageMDB
I want to store pictures in MDB. I want them to be used in a treeview or
listview - I have some structured information stored in MDB (including
icons) and I want to display it in treeview. Everyone is telling me,
that I can display images only in OLE container control, but it doesn't
have a picture property, so how can I get those pictures, when stored in
MDB ??? I'm using VB5.0 Enterprise, Access97 and RDO.
Thanks, Lukas
PS : Please reply to CASAR@INTEGIA.CZ, I don't read news often...

You can use the GetChuck, etc. methods to save any binary file (byte, by
byte) to a Memo or OLE field. You can't use access to store the images,
otherwise your only option is to use the OLE Container control and the Data
Control.
When you want to get the binary file from the field, you use GetChunk and
save the binary file to a temporary disk file, then use that disk file as
you will, e.g.: use LoadPicture with the file.
