The default "LockEdit" setting for ODBCDirect recordsets is dbReadOnly.  You
must change the third parameter to either:

dbOptimistic

-- OR --

dbPessimistic

-- OR --

dbOptimisticValue

This information is found under the description of the LockEdit setting in
the HELP file.
