working with quicktime

I've been working on a program in which I need to open a quicktime movie
file, and then display the frames of the movie in separate picture boxes,
sort of like you're looking at a film strip. There doesn't seem to be any
way to do this using basic quicktime functions, at least, not that I've
found, so I'll basically have to dissect the file to get the information I
want out of it. Could someone give me a clue as to where I should start,
or some resource that could point me in the right direction? I've checked
all the Mac Documentation I can find, but it doesn't give any information
except how to use quicktime using pre-defined functions. E-mail me at
spot@texas.net if you think you can help.
