I have a DLL (built in C++ builder) with two forms which are displayed on request from a host application. Now when running my host app in the VB6 IDE I can display that form (calling the relavent DLL function) through a button on a dialog which is also shown modally without a problem. However if I compile the host app and run it on its own, the DLL form is displayed when activated from the modal dialog, but I cannot access it: it appears frozen like the background main form of the host app - the dialog itself is also frozen. I'm sure this has something to do with threads and possibly ownership, but I cannot understand why it works in the IDE and not as compiled prog. Can anyone shed some light on this please ? Didn't catch the beginning of this, but looks like you've got a stray SetFocus somewhere. wolf-consultancy.co.uk <stevedelegard@my-deja.com> wrote in message news:8dlk50$tbc$1@nnrp1.deja.com... > Runtime error 5? > try a doevents statement after the > show method > > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ > Before you buy.
