Hi,

at first, I found a little bug in LEDA 3.2.1 in 
incl/LEDA/planar_map.h, line 273, concerning the manual:

One should replace

   /*{\Manpage {PLANAR_MAP} {vtype,ftype} {Parameterized Planar Maps}}*/

by

   /*{\Manpage {PLANAR\_MAP} {vtype,ftype} {Parameterized Planar Maps}}*/

Otherwise, when you try to make the manual,
latex yields a "missing '$' inserted" and gets confused.

Additionally, at least on SGI with the compiler release 5.2 there are
still the following two problems:

1. In incl/LEDA/real.h, line 287, the inline code

  if (a < b) return -1;
  else if (a > b) return 1;
       else return 0;

should be changed into

   return (a < b) ? -1 : ((a > b) ? 1 : 0);

Otherwise, one get the error message

   sorry, not implemented: cannot expand inline function int compare(const real&, const real&) with  statement after "return".

2. In the Makefile, line 6, one should replace

        cd src;  $(MAKE) -i FLAGS=-O

by
        cd src;  $(MAKE) -i FLAGS="'-Olimit 2000'"

Otherwise, some functions cannot be optimized due to their size.
