Visual C++ vs Delphi

The jury is still out in my company on using MS Visual C++ (v 1.52) or Borland's Delphi for software development. I am rather biased for Visual C++ and would like as much info in support of VC++ versus Delphi. One manager who is for delphi has claimed VC++ takes 10 times as long to develop than Delphi and is harder to maintain. I like the MFC library, the VC++ tools and I HATE Pascal and Pascal for Objects AND OWL. If you have any comparison info or sources for info would be very much appreciated. Thanks!!

Is this a compiler comparison group or what ? comp.lang.c++ is intented for
that ! (There are also people who do real work with the LEDA library and who
want to get INFORMATIONS out of this group, so if you don't know what goes on here
please STAY OFF).
