As a result of all the responses I got to my question about
STL-compatible compilers, I now have two good-sized lists. The first
list includes both compilers that are known to be compatible with STL,
and where the cutoff point for compatibility is, if known. The second
list is the most recent version of compilers known to be
_incompatible_ with STL. As compilers come into line on this, they
will move from the second list to the first.
I am willing to maintain this list, so any updates and fixes are
welcome, but please email them to me so I can collect them and post
them all at once. No guarantees on the update frequency, though.

Compilers Compatible with STL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Each compiler listed is shown with the oldest version that is known to
compile STL correctly. If there are just a few contributors for a
given compatibility report, their addresses are listed after the
compiler name. Once I get "enough" agreeing reports (my call), I'll
consider the matter provisionally closed, and the compiler's name will
stand alone.
"STL" is considered to be HP STL, draft standard STL, or some modified
version that comes with the compiler that offers all the functionality
of HP or draft standard STL.
