C++ Class(es?) for interfacing with directory I/O and fstat()
#77

We are looking for a C++ interface to accessing directories. We found the
Dirent class in the GNU G++ class library, but it was just a relatively
transparent wrapper to the C directory operations (opendir, etc.).

Does any one know of a class (or set of classes) that handle directory I/O
more elegantly in C++?

We are also looking for similar classes that do the same for fstat().

BTW, we are using gcc 2.7.0 on under the System V-ish Dynix/PTX V2.1.5 on a
i386 architecture, but we would like a portable solution across Unix
platforms.

Thanks for your time and help.
