WANTED TO BUY: CA-Clipper 5.3 Manuals and CA-Clipper Tools 3.0, complete.

Hi

I recently bought a CA-Clipper 5.3 CD on e-Bay. As far as I know,
it is a genuine CD, (i.e., not pirated). Unfortunately, there
were no manuals with it, just the CD alone.

I am anxious to start learning how to use the software, but there
is no online tutorial, the online help is just too hard to wade
through, and, anyway, it is useless for learning purposes.

So, now I am looking for a complete set of the original manuals
for CA-Clipper 5.3, the same as would have been supplied with the
original, boxed, shrink-wrapped software when purchased "off the
shelf" on its release in around 1995.

If you have such a set, don't need it any more, and would be
interested in selling it, please contact me at the following
e-mail address:

                     csouter@seltek.com.au

The books need not be in mint condition, but they should have all
covers intact and there should be no torn or missing pages.
Also, I wish to emphasise once again that I really need a complete
set (if there was more than one book in the original set). Please
understand also that I am looking for the original manuals
produced by Computer Associates, not third-party publications
about Clipper.

Please advise your price and, (if you know or can find out), any
shipping costs involved, (including COD, if acceptable to you).
Whilst I am hoping for a reasonable price, I am not interested in
playing haggling games with smartasses who are not genuinely
interested in selling. I am a genuine buyer, so if you are not a
genuine seller, please don't clutter up my mailbox. Messages
which do not quote a price, but instead ask me for an initial
offer will be ignored.

Also, even if you don't have a set for sale, but you do know how
many books were in it, (maybe even their correct titles), I would
still very much appreciate hearing from you. I might perhaps be
able to obtain them individually if it turns out that a complete
set is not available.

In addition to the above, I am also looking for a complete,
original and legal copy of CA-Clipper Tools 3.0 (for both real and
protected modes). This should include a complete set of original,
fully functional installation diskettes, (or the original CD), the
genuine, functional product ID installation code and all the
original manuals. If anyone has this set for sale, please contact
me at the above e-mail address. Please note that the same
conditions apply to this request as to my above request for the
CA-Clipper 5.3 manuals. Please also note that I am looking for
genuine, legal software, not pirated copies.

I look forward to receiving genuine replies to my e-mail address
as given above.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dirk,

Thanks for the Plug ! Yes, we have them in stock.(PackRats that we are :-) )
Problem is they weigh 15lbs and cost about 65.00 to send downunder. I
dropped this guy an email over the weekend, but haven't heard back from him.

Best Regards

Brian

You might not hear back until Wednesday <g>. Its a long weekend here with
our biggest horse race on the Tuesday the whole country is usually
determined to make a super-long-weekend out of it. For those with an
interest, its a wide open field and nobody likes the favourite (now how's
that for an oxymoron!).

Geoff,

Enjoy. Sounds like a lot of fun.... Something we all need to have.
