Hi, We are trying to compile the July PCL Systems version of CLOS on a Symbolics running Genera 7.2 and have encountered a number of problems. Some we may have gotten around, but one has us stuck. One's we may have gotten around (but in a way that might not work): * While loading binary of BRAID we got the errors "Attempt to intern T class predicate in locked package COMMON-LISP" and "Attempt to intern RATIO class predicate in locked package COMMON-LISP" We got around these by hitting RESUME and intering them anyway. * While loading binary of METHODS it bombed on the format statement in the function printing-random-thing-internal. The format had a ~\\si:address\\ in it which our machine didn't like. We got around it by changing it back to ~O, which is what it was in the version of PCL which is working now. (I don't know what our version is, but it's old ... perhaps a couple of years.) The one that we are stuck on now is: * While loading binary of METHODS we get the error "When attempting to set the slot's value to (CLASS #<std-instance 36721477>) (setf of slot-value), the slot TYPE is missing from the object #<std-instance 36721477>)." Can anyone help? Thanks, Wally Mann wbm@freedom.stanford.edu
