In the last salaried position I had my title was Senior Systems
Programmer. I installed MVS and VM/XA, CICS, RACF, ACF/2.
Implemented a shared spool, and a GRS ring (an earlier precursor to a
SYSPLEX). Played a little with AIX, SAS/MXG etc. etc. etc. Wrote
some IGG exits (and an SVC). Sounds like a reasonable job.

Unfortunately, I make more money than that as a COBOL programmer. And
I dont have to come in at 02:00 on Sunday morning to do my testing.
And for every position as a Systems Programmer, there are about 30-50
as COBOL programmer. And I think I have less responsibility and more
fun.

So the long answer is no thanks. . . MJL.
