I am not a functional language implementor, so please pardon my ignorance about space leaks, but here is something that might be very important. On page 123 of IEEE Software, September 1992, is an article about a product called Purify for debugging memory management in C and C++. The author of the article cannot speak highly enough of it. This may be just the thing to eliminate space leaks forever. For more information, it appears you can email to info@pure.com. John
