importing data with java from xml

Hi

This is something I don't seem to get a grip on: I would like to use the
Document Object Model or SAX methods with java to import data from an
xml file. I think (hope) I have all the jar files downloaded to provide
me with the native methods to do this. But how? I am really rather lost
here.

Would someone be able to help me with the following:

1. Tell me which packages and jar files I need to import xml data using
DOM and/or SAX.

2. Provide me with a complete code example to do this. If the code
example can include the xml file and its data that would be great as
this would clarify things much better.

I am sure there is someone out there who is an expert at java and xml -
I am just starting and would really appreciate a simple code example to
get me kickstarted.

Thanks very much.

Cheers

Hugo

Take a look at the tutorials avaliable at http://www.ibm.com/developer/xml,
e.g.
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/education/xmljava/xmljava-menu.html

They have complete code examples.
