Hi
I am using Visibroker for Java and am trying to implement a situation
where
various push suppliers, push different events to an Event channel and
push consumers only consume specific events(event filtering)  from
specific push suppliers(event correlation).

I guess if Visibroker had an OMG notification service implementation
this would be
readily available but in its absence can anybody point me towards any
example code,
web sites, books that discuss this situation.

You may want to try a MOM(message oriented middleware) product that
implements Sun's JMS (Java Messaging Service). Vendors that have
products with JMS implementation are:
                          Etsee Soft,
                          Fiorano Software, Inc.,
                          Modulus Technologies, Inc.,
                          Push Technologies Ltd.,
JMS has this notion of topics tree for event filtering.

DSTC has a (partial) implementation of COS Notification Service. Check out
<http://www.dstc.edu.au>.

The DSTC implementation may do for now. OMG Notification service doesnt
seem to be on the Visigenic agenda ??. Iona do have a OrbixNotification beta
release as of now.
