I'm currently using MSSQL to store customer info which includes chinese address and names (all in big 5 characters). According to my experience, there is no problem at all for storing chinese characters. However, when you use the select statement to search for specific character (chinese character consist of two 8bit chars) there might be some inconsistancy with the result set. I think not all characters are this problem, only a few dozen characters will have conflict.
