ResulSet.absolute() unsupported?

Hi,
I'm having problems to do very simple things with a ResulSet: Moving the
cursor and asking it where it is.

    Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:myDb",
"sa", "");
    Statement s = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet r = s.executeQuery("SELECT * FROM myTable");
    r.absolute (1);

When executing this, I'm getting an "UnsupportedOperationException" on
the absoulte()-method. The same happens when I call getRow(). What am I
doing wrong? The Database is a MS SQL Server 7.0 and I'm pretty sure it
supports these things, because I've done them with Visual Basic before.

Thanks,

Roland

Hi,

    I have the same problem with last(), first(), previous(), absolute(),
getRow(). Only next() is working. I use MS SQL 7.0 or Access 97 and I had no
problem with VB 6.0.
    So if someone can help Roland and I...

Franck.
