need a model JPopupMenu()....

Hello,

I need a model JPopupMenu(). (unfortunatly). For a quick port of a C program
I need to call this
popupmenu from the C code. I have the popup & actions all figured out, JNI
also works fine,
using jdk1.2.2.

But after I call myPopup.show(null, x, y); in Java the thread offcourse
continues. Because I call
the Java method where this menu is popped up from C (which needs an answer
straight away)
I need to wait after myPopup.show(null, x, y); untill the user makes a
choice. Threads and how
to stop them are not my strong points.

Any ideas on how to do this?
(I could build a modal dialog, but prefer a solution with the standard
JPopupMenu())

best regards,
Peter
