Hello

I would like to know how to launch a java application without the dos window
appearing in the task bar.

Someone told me to try with javaw.exe instead of java.exe, but the dos
window still appeared

thanks

Hi DAvid,

use a Runtime.exec("path/file.exe") in your application. check the syntax in the
Java Api doc. the parameter to this is the String command.

Cheers,
Ranjan

Are you sure? javaw.exe should be the way to go...

Johannes.

This suggestion is overkill : use

start javaw

as the command line; and set run as minimized.

Or use the launcher executables that you can create with
InstallAnywhere (www.zeroG.com)
