Hello All,
The reason I'm posting to this newsgroup is that I saw some people talk
about PDF format and printing.. If there is another group I should be
posting to please let me know.

Here is some background. We have an INTRANET site with many equity
research documents published by our analysts daily. We define a certain
group of documents as a "Morning Package". Currently users can get any
document from our website and print them individually. We have a new
requirement, that users should be able to print certain groups of
documents in one click. Initially we had a CGI solution to print directly
from the web server to our clients printers. The problem with this
solution is obvious: "possible server overload".

So I have a page with a SIGNED applet that will do all the work on the
client, trying to print a batch of PDF files (60 or so) at once. Applet
connects to a server, downloads PDF files to a hard disk. After that I do
a system call to Acrobat Reader engine	witha /P switch to print
documents to a default user's printer. Everything works fine except one
thing: The stupid Acrobat Reader pops up a "OK to print" box for every
file we want to print. User has to OK everyfile, which sort of defeat the
purpose of the whole exercise - one click printing of a batch of
documents.

Now: we talked to Adobe. It looks like they do not have a switch to an
AcroRd32.exe (Acrobat REader) to disable the damn box. (Seems like an
obvious thing to have to me !!!)

Maybe, just maybe some of you people out there had this problem and found
a solution? How to make an Acrobat Reader print without poping a "OK?"
box?

Someone suggested that I could use DDE message to an acrobat Reader's
engine. Anybody knows how to send DDE messages from a Java Applet ? The
applet I'm using is trusted so I have full control of user's PC.

Any help or suggestions on this matter are greatly appreciated.
