JSP tag problem > help!

i've got a method in my jsp tag handler class that passes
getPreviousOut() to a bean as a javax.servlet.jsp.JspWriter. problem
is, the bean's method uses apache Xalan 2 libraries, and Xalan doesn't
appear to handle JspWriters; it writes its output to a
javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamResult. so consequently, i'm having
trouble getting the results from my bean (with the xalan method) back to
the original JSP page.

now, i'm new to this, so please bear with me :). is there a way to put
the contents of a StreamResult into a JspWriter? if not, how else might
i do this? or could i possibly pass something else (besides a
JspWriter) to my bean, that could in turn accept the contents of a
StreamResult?

thanks in advance!
