Hi. I am a student at UNSW/Sydney and I am doing Java course. (I don't have any previous experience in programming). Our lecturer never programmed in Java and had some programming experience with some language long time ago (sounds unbelievable but it is unfortunately truth :-( As a textbook we are using "Java software solutions" -"Foundation of Program Design" by John Lewis and William Loftus. I found it is difficult to understand and because I do not have a quality lecture I am stuck with my assignment (Vigenere cipher ). Can anybody recommend a good Java book with examples (that is how I only can understand) and very detailed explanations (line by line - that is my dream :-). I am on my week 6 only, so I need something from start and no programing experience assumed. Thanks in advance Andrei. -- A little about me. I am a person and this is a little about me. I like to do things, and some of these things are even fun. When I'm not doing things, I like to sit. Sitting is fun sometimes.
