It's rather difficult for a tool to know what every user wants. Therefore,
it must use the defaults that the developers think most users want. It seems
logical for an IDE's defaults to use productivity tools like IntelliSense.

All you have to do is ask J++ not to use that feature...

The very first thing I do with any tool is go to Options and set things up
to my taste. I'm an optionaholic--the more, the better. :)
