Hi, I have an applet that when double-clicking on a date entry field, a calendar pops up that will let the user choose a date. The problem is if the user clicks on the entry field more than once, then there will be 2 or more calendars present. How can one design code so that when double-clicking on the field, the calendar will appear once? Any help, hints or advice on the matter is truly appreciated. TIA Casey ;-)

trying using a global variable
using a boolean variable
ie calander:boolean;
on startup set calendar to false
calander:=false;
on double click goto calendar subroutine
procedure calander.prog;
begin
if calander=true then exit; {check to see if calendar is running}
calander:=true; {set variable to true ie calendar is running}
{do whatever your doing}
calander:=false; {allow the calendar subroutine to be called again}
end;
hope this helps
