Firewall and Jdbc using Connection Manager

Hello Friends,

I am using Oracle Thin JDBC driver, Connection Manager from Oracle to make a
database connection from the browser. The web server runs on x.x.x.203 and
listens on port 80. The Connection Manager runs on port 1622 of x.x.x.203. I
am able to run my applet downloaded from the web server and talking to the
database while making the initial connection for database at port 1622 when I
run the application from a browser from either an ISP or outside of the
firewall.

The problem is when I go through firewall to x.x.x.203, the applet downloads
and runs fine, but the database connection is not made.

I will appreciate any insights.

Thanks

Vaneet Gupta
