New context path not working in Tomcat

Hi,

I'm running tomcat on Windows 2000 and IIS. I installed Tomcat and
follow up the steps as described in the tomcat iis-howto:

http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-3.2-doc/tomcat-iis-howto.html

The examples work perfectly and all requests go through ISS to Tomcat.
All jsp's and servlets run nicely.

So, when I added my context /Demo/* I can not see the same thing
happening. All I can see is an error message from IIS.

I went far enough as to modify the tomcat.policy file and grant all
permisions to the new code base:
	grant codeBase "file:${tomcat.home}/webapps/Demo" {
	    // Allow the Demo web application full access
	    permission java.security.AllPermission;
	};

This is what I added to server.xml (just below the context for
examples):
        <Context path="/Demo"
                 docBase="webapps/Demo"
                 crossContext="false"
                 debug="0"
                 reloadable="true" >
        </Context>

And this what I added to my file under
C:\jakarta-tomcat-3.2.2\webapps\Demo\WEB-INF\web.xml
	<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
	<!DOCTYPE web-app
	    PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.2//EN"
	    "http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2_2.dtd">

	<web-app>
	</web-app>

I don't have servlets yet, all I want to do is run some jsp.
And I can't even see my simple index.html.   :-(

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

SV.

You may need to stop and restart IIS whenever you change the URI mapping
patterns that the Jakarta ISAPI plug-in/filter uses to divert requests
to Tomcat.

Hi,

Thanks for your messages.

I figured out what was missing. I re-read the steps and I negleted to
add my new context to the uriworkermap.properties file with:

/Demo/*=ajp12

And it worked!

I also added an entry for my context with lowercase with:
/demo/*=ajp12

I didn't update the workers.properties file as mentioned in the
documentation because I couldn't find a similar entry for the examples
context and it didn't complain, so far.

I also noticed the following(given my experience):

-Modify uriworkermap.properties  ---> Restart IIS
-Modify Server.xml               ---> Restart Tomcat

Now html and jsp files are redirected from IIS to Tomcat.

Thanks Again.

Salvador.
