What people are saying about Javelin.
-------------------------------------
Many people ordering by phone are very enthusiastic people who have, in a
very short time during their evaluation, fallen in love with the Javelin
product. They can't wait to get their password to unlock the save feature.
They tell us how they love the idea of developing JAVA classes using icons,
drag drop etc., rather than dealing with the rather old fashioned text
files (which were a gift to us from the 1970's!).

New JAVA programmers are reporting that they don't have to worry about
typing all that class setup syntax correctly - they just let Javelin do it.
And when it comes to adding new fields and methods Javelin saves them time
and helps them to navigate and document their projects with ease.

Experienced C++ or JAVA programmers tell us that the tool helps them to
think at the conceptual level and then dive down into the code with a few
mouse clicks when necessary.

Our sales staff report that phrase's such as "I love it" and "Cooool" are
not uncommon when taking orders and with good reason! Javelin has been
receiving good recommendations from sites all over the internet. The new
version 4.47 makes it an even "cooooler" tool. See below for more details
on that.

Be quick - introductory offer runs out soon!
--------------------------------------------
The introductory offer of $US39 ($AUS40) for Javelin standard edition is
valid until April 15, 1996. After this date the price goes to its RRP of
$US199 ($AUS249) - so be quick or you'll miss out.

Internet Distribution - less waiting to receive the goods.
----------------------------------------------------------
Javelin standard is distributed over the internet. You can download the
evaluation version in which the save feature is disabled. By purchasing the
product (by phone or fax order) you will receive a serial number and
password that turns your evaluation copy into the real thing, enabling the
save feature. The serial number and password are normally sent via email
within 24 hours. Quite often they are sent within hours of placing your
order.

Hot New Version 4.47 is on our web site NOW.
--------------------------------------------
Version 4.47 adds some great new features in the area of the in built
editor and the design slate. The in built editor now has a new menu and
full find/replace functionality.

The design slate has been empowered with the ability to customize the
colors of certain features. It also now shows the grid so that you can see
where objects will automatically align to. Though these are cosmetic
enhancements some people have expressed a desire to be able to choose their
own color set - and we agree with them. When you work with a particular
tool all day long its important to be able to set up an environment that
suits you. With this feature you can make some pretty hot looking color
combinations (and some pretty putrid ones too!). So try it out. Maybe we'll
even hold a competition to find the most preferred color combination.

Here's one of my favourites:
Though you can set up colors from the Options|Colors menu if you know the
colors you want you can direcly add or change a line in the [System]
section of javelin.ini to read:
; A nice Alpine looking color scheme
sc=0xFF0000 0xFF0000 0x2FFFFFF 0xC0C0C0

Standard or Professional Edition?
---------------------------------
Many people have been asking about the difference between the standard and
professional version. We have provided a section on this under the Javelin
page on our web site. In addition you can take advantage of the current
deal on the standard edition and upgrade to the professional with a huge
saving - all with a simple, single order. See readme.doc in the Ver 4.47
distribution files.

Future Releases
---------------
The Javelin product is a result of well thought out, well structured,
development plan. In the next few months you can expect to see some very
hot features including: Assistance with development of GUI JAVA code,
importing of existing libraries and some features which are just too hot to
mention at this stage! So get on board now and come along for the ride in
order to stay, A Step Ahead.
