My set up: a 4 computer LAN with one connection to the internet, shared Via
Sygate. The TV card (used as web cam) used to be in the net computer. I used
two programs, a server, and a web cam program. You set up the server, and
then the web cam, and when people try to access stuff on port 8080 it makes
a JPG of the current screen shot and sends it. Sure you have to keep
whacking refresh, but never mind. Internally you can use the HTTP server to
allow the computer with the net connection to view the web cam, so need a
script or applet to look at a page, then save it to a pre-defined file,
which can be accessed from the server with the net connection
make sense?
Any ideas on who I could talk to?
I mean with the right knowlage I'm sure it's easy
