Hi, How can I do a bind to an Orbix C++ deamon with only Sun's Java ORB (org.omg.* packages). Thus without using OrbixWeb's ORB fro Java. If I start a C++ server and have it register itself to a naming service, I then can connect to it with ony Sun's omr.omg.* stuff. But I cannot do a bind since that isn't implemented in Sun's ORB. Now, I really would like to do a bind, since that will result in having the Orbix deamon starting up my C++ server if it isn't running yet. Now I will have to start it myself and have it register itself to a CORBA naming service. Does anyone have a sollution for solving this problem, of course without makeing use of OrbixWeb packages. Is there another free Java ORB that can do a bind? omniORB? ORBacus? Or is there a trick with Sun's ORB? Are there any plans for Sun to implement a bind method in its ORB? Thanks, Sander van Geloven
