Dear All:

I have a friend of mine who's having a bit of trouble with a JavaScript.

The deal with the script is getting it to read the value entered in a text
field, which is to be the page, number, or line count, and store it as an
integer to be used in further calculations.

Can anybody elucidate us on how to accomplish this?
