HELP!: File System Object in ASP code generates Permission Denied error on DeleteFile...
#184

I have an ASP application, which uses remote scripting. The server side
script is sitting in a loop looking for a text file to arrive on a server.
Once the file arrives, I open it, read it, create a web page with info from
the text file, close the file and then delete it. I need to delete it
because that's the only way I know the file is ready.

Problem #1 - When I call the fso.DeleteFile(filespec, force) method, I get a
remote scripting error that says "Permission Denied". I can't even open the
file for writing, only reading. I also can't change the file's attributes.
Is this an NTFS issue?

Problem #2 - While sitting in a while loop that simply checks to see if the
file exists, I eventually get a remote scripting error if the file doesn't
show up fairly quickly. Is there a way to control this? I have already set
the Session.Timeout property to 3 minutes, but it seems to timeout around 25
seconds.

If anyone has any information on how to fix this problem I would appreciate
a helping hand.
