Hi Folks, Just starting to fart around with ASP/Scripting. Recently realized that there are certain things that can't be done with server-side VBScript and client-side VBScript only works for IE on a Windows box (not very protable). I was wondering why all the code examples I've seen have Javascript and VBScript mixed in them. My question is: Can I completely forget about VBScript and write everything in Javascript (client and server side)? I already know that server-side Javascript works on my server, but I can't find any examples for database connections, running SQL querys, etc... Am I stuck learning two languages or are there some good examples somewhere and I'm just not finding them? thx j- -- Jack Kelly Dobson "Everything I say is factual, Aggressive Media unless, of course, I'm wrong, jdobson@mailbag.com or lying." Yes, though you may want to use both on the server from time to time. There are some things that are just MUCH easier to do with VBScript. On the client, you definitely want to stick with javascript. 4guysfromrolla.com and 15seconds.com are both excellent resources.
