I'm new to logo (apologies if this is a faq or commonly known), but I vaguely remember hearing of people driving lego toys with logo commands. Do software/kits exist? I'd appreciate any pointers, will summarize if there's interest. Am immediately interested in pc/ps2, dos, windows... Thanks. -- David Grossman grossman@theory.tc.cornell.edu

The Lego company itself sells Lego TC Logo. Also, several Logo vendors
sell software and interface boxes that work with Lego Technic and other
construction kits. LCSI, Terrapin, and Paradigm all have robotics
materials.
The primary Logo vendors in North America are

Lego makes interfaces for the Apple 2 and IBM clones for doing robotics with
Logo. There is another company that makes a similar interface for the Mac.
Bots makes a RS-232 interface and provides software for the Mac. I have
written a Modula-2 library for controlling the Hyperbot interface from an
Amiga.

Hyperbot Kit $315.00
Hyperbot Interface: software which provides an object oriented graphic
interface for making robotic procedures which control motors and use sensor
data.
Controller: hardware to link motors and sensors to the serial port of the
Macintosh. The Hyperbot interface is a HyperCard stack. Any software using
the Macintosh serial port can use the controller for robotic control.
User's Guide: full instructions for using Hyperbot.
Activity Guide - Martian Exploration Vehicle $25.00
Use Hyperbot to build a prototype vehicle for planetary exploration with
activities to provide specific challenges and links to science and math
topics.
Martian Exploration Vehicle Kit $105.00
Contains a basic LEGO buggy, touch and optosensor, light and cable for use
with the Activity guide.
Hyperbot, the Programmable Icon
Price $39.00
Simulation of the Hyperbot Interface to let students' cost effectively become
familiar with the principals of robotic control.
Other kits by LEGO and fischertechnik (range $75 - $250) will work with
Hyperbot and are available from Bots.

I second most of what Rogers and Harvey said (my connection is that I developed Hyperbot support for MIT Scheme on the NeXT), but would like to add the contact information for Lego Dacta: Lego Dacta 555 Taylor Rd. P.O. Box 1600, Enfield, CT 06083-1600 USA Phone: (800) 526-8339; Fax: (203) 763-2466.
