I repost it here on sugestion that this may be the most appriopate group for it Is there somewhere (book, ftp, ...) a reasonably objective comparison of icon with eiffel with a few other (perhaps c++, smalltalk, mainsail..). Comparison of features, robustness ( maturity of compilers), clarity in use, availability, standard-status (!), development environment (debuger +...), performance, suitability for large CAD (and other) projects .. ?
