I suspect this is the right group for my question. Please take the time to e-mail me (seiferth@rufous.cs.unm.edu) a short response! I'm taking a survey for a paper I'm writing on the choice of (computer) languages for introductory computing classes for CS students. If you'd respond by letting me know what language you were introduced to I'd appreciate it. If you thought the choice was a particularly good (or bad) one, please let me know why. I'm interested in the diversity and rationale behind your answers. Thanks... seiferth@rufous.cs.unm.edu
