Modularity for Data-Driven languages

I'm looking for any information about previous work done to
add modularity constructs to forward-chaining, data-driven langauges
such as OPS5, or YAPPS. While I've heard that someone-somewhere has
tried to do this before, I've had little luck finding any sort of
articles, or information about it. I'd appreciate any pointers to
information about what has been done, where, and by who, as well as
what success whoever(whom?) has had.

						Thanks,
							Don
