I'd been charitably assuming that you'd fixed this nighmarish
notation. Of COURSE you aren't showing us any examples of actual
function definitions - much less nested ones - they're totally
illegible!

Worse than that, using strings for function bodies is going to wreak
merry hell with your scoping rules, isn't it? Or does : get dynamic
access to the static context, meaning that functions in general need
to know the actual source names of all their local identifiers?
