		       COMPUTER LANGUAGE MARKET SURVEY

(The purpose of this message is to assess a market. If this is a
breach of etiquette for this news group then please let me know.)

I have an opportunity to sell and support a "new" computer language for the
PC market (386 and up). The language has been in existence since 1978 and is
well documented with many support tools that are polished and work. The
language is truely machine independent (designed that way from the beginning)
and runs on a variety of mainframe, mini, and workstation machines. It is not
yet in the PC market, hence the opportunity.

The question I have for the readers of this news group is:

WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO BUY SUCH A LANGUAGE?

Before you can answer I need to supply you with some more information.

(1) Possible competitor of C++.
    (a) strongly typed language.
    (b) classes.
    (c) inheritance.
    (d) garbage collection.
    (e) generic procedures.
    (f) dynamic linking.
    (g) i/o part of the language.
    (h) modules and information hiding.
    (i) foreign language interface to other languages (C).
    (j) exception handling.
    (k) coroutines.
    (l) character strings part of the language.
(2) Text editor.
(3) Source level debugger.
(4) Compiler written in the language.
(5) Relational database system written in the language.
(6) Used by a major chip design company.
