YES!

There was an editor module in "Programmierpraxis mit Modula-2", a special
issue of CHIP magazine in 1989. I think I have the source code still somewhere.

If you are interested in a wordstar-style editor for Modula-2 (Topspeed 1.17),
mail me. I could mail it to you.

Hi Holger!

Thank you very much for responding! I will mail you, I am very interested.

Also, to half-address another thread in this newsgroup regarding usages of M2. I use
Modula-2 to develop all my commercial applications. I have heard much about Modula-3,
but I have yet to see ANY commercial compilers (in USA).

Is there a M2 version of the Pascal SWAG type code fragments collection? If not, then I
think that we could help the language along a little by having one put together by this
newsgroup!

I would be happy to share my entire library that I have developed in Topspeed over the
last 7 years of custom programming. The best I have seen regarding the sharing of M2
code so far is Peter Moylan's PMOS.

Sorry to cross-thread.

Regards,

[This was supposed to be private mail, but my mailer can't
reach Ted's address.]

Do you have an ftp site where you can put your library? If so,
mail me the details and I'll add it to my Modula-2 information
page. If not, I'd be happy to keep a copy for general access
at our ftp site. There are several other places where people
are willing to keep things like this - for example, if you look
at my PMOS web page you'll see that PMOS is at several sites,
simply because I asked in comp.lang.modula2 for volunteers to
provide sites to keep copies.

I agree with you, collections of this kind are very helpful
for the language, and it's worth building up an archive of
libraries and code fragments. I originally developed PMOS for
real-time applications, but since I put it up for anonymous
ftp it seems that the main interest is from people who want
programming examples, miscellaneous utility modules, and
graphics modules. I'm getting about 12 hits/day on my M2
information page, so there are certainly people out there who
are searching for M2 resources.
