Oberon for Linux
#1254

I downloaded a version of Oberon for Linux yesterday but when I
tried it out I discovered an error in the compressed file.
Unfortunately, I never took a note of the location so I can't try
again - does anyone have the location which was posted to this
newsgroup yesterday or the day before?

It was a version of Oberon which apparently included additional X
fonts to cure some display problems that the author was having -
I have had similar problems which is why I'd like to try it out.

Regards,
	Martin

Try "sport1.uibk.ac.at"

BTW: We also were not able to unzip the file
"gzip: Oberon.Linux.Bin.tgz: invalid compressed data--format violated"
and have sent a message to the author.

Sorry, this was most probably my fault. I uploaded the file once more. Now
it should work.

P.S.: I included the Beautifier, a programm (of mine) that automatically
formats Oberon-2 Source Code. See Beautifier.Text for Documentation.

P.P.S.: I'm amazed by the enormous interest in Oberon for Linux. I will most
probably keep upgrading this Oberon version until it has the quality of
Mac/Windows-Versions.
