I used to maintain the Oberon FAQ, but it has been
inactive for over a year now. I hope to get around to
resurrecting it someday.

Version 4 is the streamlined version of the original
Oberon System by Wirth & Gutkecht. It seems to be frozen in
its current form, you can download it for free, and most of
the source is available.
System 3 is an experimental variation of the original
Oberon System headed by Gutknecht. I believe it's still a
live research project. It's also available for free but the
source has to be licensed.
Oberon/F is a commercial product which aims to bring
much of the Oberon System to mainstream OSes such as Windoze
and the Mac in the form of frameworks package.
Hope this helps,
Mike
