After reading the FAQ and Object-oriented Programming: An Evolutionary Approach, I realized that all the example programs #imported stuff from Object.h or other similar files. These files do not come with the GCC compiler! GCC has no Object class! How do I make a factory object make an instance of itself in the absence of NeXT's Object implementation or StepStone's ICPak Object? I don't have a NeXT, and the computer I work with is not supported by StepStone. :( What good is GCC's Objective-C implementation if it can't be used? :( Please respond email. I'll post a summary of any replies I receive. Max Leung (mleung@bode.ee.ualberta.ca)
