My guess is that it replaces the $37 with $7E, which would give a perfect explanation for what you're experiencing: $37 = 55 -> crt fails at 200Mhz $7E = 126 (= 55 * 2.3) -> crt fails at 460 MHz Solutions: - If you're not interested in delay, change $7E into $FF, and you will be safe until later this year, when the first 930+ MHz CPUs appear, at that moment you will have to change the original $37 $00 into at least $00 $01. If you change them straight away into $ff $ff, you're safe until the arrival of the first 233GHz (name deleted for trademark reasons) ;-) - Read the FAQ that is posted in comp.lang.pascal.borland every Sunday, and a) apply a better patch, or b) download Pedt Scragg's optimized CRT (FAQ URL: <http://homepages.force9.net/pascal/faq/clpb-faq.txt>) > Please, someone, tell me I am not going nuts. You're not, you're just using an outdated patch. Reply x-posted to c.l.p.b, to give a wider audience a warning about this patch that has clearly reached its sell-by date.
