JRS: In article <7s3fss$758$1@uranium.btinternet.com> of Sun, 19 Sep 1999 21:03:20 in news:comp.lang.pascal.borland, etc., sav <sav@btinternet.com> wrote: >has anyone got some pascal code which is able to read >the keyboard buffer directly (ie if two buttons on the keyboard >are pressed both are detected) >Newsgroups: borland.public.turbopascal,comp.lang.pascal,comp.lang.pascal >.borland,comp.lang.pascal.misc As you did not post this via forums.borland.com, the *EXPERTS* of TeamB who use news:b.p.t will not see it - so they won't tell you their dislike of cross-posting in news:borland.*. news:c.l.p was remove-grouped ages ago, and should not be on your server. It is rarely right to cross-post between news:c.l.p.b & news:c.l.p.m since one is for Borland and the other is for non-[Borland, Mac, Ansi- ISO]. As it is, we do not know what dialect of Pascal you use. Reading the keyboard buffer directly can be done by using the pointers in Seg0040 to locate the buffer and its contents. See Ralf Brown's List for the four pointers. However, it will not, AIUI, help with your question; you need something lower-level. As it happens, yours is a Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) , and the answer can easily be found in lists of such; for example Timo's, at #82. I expect it's in PCGPE, too, which may still be at http://www.qzx.com/pc-gpe/ I've re-ordered the Newsgroup line, in the hope that this will be posted via Demon rather than Borland. -- John Stockton, Surrey, UK. jrs@merlyn.demon.co.uk Turnpike v4.00 MIME. <URL: http://www.merlyn.demon.co.uk/> TP/BP/Delphi/&c.
