Looks interesting, I must visit the Web site ...

A small part of the Year 2000 problem is whether a PC will show the
correct date when it is first turned on after 1999. A larger problem
including that small part is whether a PC shows the correct date
whenever it is turned on; when the CMOS battery fails, AIUI & AFAIR the
first thing that goes is the date, and the unobservant operator may fail
to notice before using an incorrect date and messing up records.

My program, at
        http://www.merlyn.demon.co.uk/programs/clokchek.pas and *.exe
merely checks the present MSDOS date+time against the date+time when it
was last run, and warns if the change is (adjustably) unreasonable. One
can put it in AUTOEXEC.BAT. It uses one entry in C:\ (32 bytes).

Testing and comments welcome.
